Ambrose married Cora Nancy Wise on 8 Apr 1917 in Gassville, Baxter County, Arkansas. Together they had five children: Arkie L. (Mrs. Edward Cochran, later Mrs. Sydney Thomas Smith); John Edgar Haley; Ambrose Joseph Haley; Mattie Margarette "Mike"(Mrs. Leon Taylor); and Barbara Jean (Mrs. Charles J. Pickering). Resident of Eureka; husband of Cora Haley of Eureka; father of Mrs. Charles (Barbara) Pickering of McKinleyville, Joseph Haley and Mrs. Leon (Margarette) Taylor both of Eureka, John E. Haley of Ponca City, Okla, and Mrs. Sydney (Arkie) Smith of Santa Barbara; he is survived by nine grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. He was a native of Arkansas, age 82 years and a resident of Eureka for 30 years. He had been an employee of the California Barrel Company for many years and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, Gassville, Baxter County, Arkansas. Friends are invited to attend services at Pierce Mortuary Chapel, H at Seventh St., Eureka, Thursday, March 13 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Larry McCaln, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Casket bearers will be James Petersen, Blair Leslie, Gary Taylor, Ronald Taylor, Terry Taylor, and David Pickering. Honorary bearers: William Pavlich, W. J. "Hap" Waters, Fred McGill, and Travis White.
