Later their families moved to Seneca, Monroe Co., Ohio, and appears on the 1820, 1830, 1840, 1850. They left Ohio, he is enumerated in 1852, Center, Henry, Iowa. Enumerated in 1856, 1860, 1870 In Linn County, Iowa Census. Ambrose is buried on Caleb Hendryx' lot. I assume the relationship is through Morris Neighbors' mother, Margaret (Wise) Neighbor. I was hoping to find a Hendryx relative through this research. I was unable to find any further information on Ambrose's daughter Mary "Polly" m. Jacob Wise, Jr. Regarding the Sutherlands: Caleb Hendryx' wife was Mary Hemphill and her Grandmother was Mary (Sutherland) Cochran b.1782 VA. Perhaps that is the connection... as Ambrose's nephew, Lewis Booten Rucker m. Margaret V Dailey and her mother was Catherine (Sutherland) Dailey b. 1797 VA. Her parents were David and Margaret (Gregg) Sutherland, both buried at the Sutherland Methodist Church Cemetery, Franklin, Monroe, Ohio. Rucker's headstone was broken and repaired by S. Hendryx of Iowa. We have visited his grave often to make sure it's maintained properly. Ambrose is buried on the south side of Caleb Hendryx's monument. His grave faces west. Caleb's # 52136819.
