Description	:	Amelia Miller was born in Hardy County, West Virginia, March 4, 1829, being at the time of her death 91 years, 2 months and 30 days old. She was the daughter of William and Ann Miller. On October 11, 1856 she was united in marriage to Samuel H. Miller. To this union was born three daughters, America, Jereta and Savannah. Two of these, America and Savannah, preceded her in death. In the spring of 1852 they moved to Appanpuse County, Iowa and the following fall with her family she moved to Bonaparte, Iowa. In the spring of 1854 they crossed the country to California... Read More	Amelia Miller was born in Hardy County, West Virginia, March 4, 1829, being at the time of her death 91 years, 2 months and 30 days old. She was the daughter of William and Ann Miller. On October 11, 1856 she was united in marriage to Samuel H. Miller. To this union was born three daughters, America, Jereta and Savannah. Two of these, America and Savannah, preceded her in death. In the spring of 1852 they moved to Appanpuse County, Iowa and the following fall with her family she moved to Bonaparte, Iowa. In the spring of 1854 they crossed the country to California with an ox team, remaining there till 1858 comming back to Iowa settling on the farm in Harrisburg twp. where she lived continusly for 50 years. Since that time she has recided with her daughter in Hillsboro, Iowa. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1882. With her husband she united with the Harrisburg Baptist Church during the pastorate of Elder Setten, at the time of the orgination of the church. She lived an active industrious life untill Sept.13, 1919, when she suffered a stroke of paralysis leaving her almost helpless untill June 3, 1920, when she passed into the great beyond. Grandma will be greatly missed by her family of whom there are one daughter, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Harrisburg church Sunday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. Coppec preaching the sermon.
