Description	:	Amelia Rosella Feist, 88, Bismarck, formerly of Selfridge, passed away April 17, 2008, at her home. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 21, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Gene Lindemann officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday with prayer and rosary services beginning at 7 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan. Visitation continues one hour prior to services at the church. Amelia was born Oct. 23, 1919, to John and Magdalena (Bickel) Walker Sr. at rural Selfridge, where she was raised and educated. In 1939, she traveled to Michigan with the neighbor girls, where she worked as a nanny for a couple of years. While in Michigan, she met Wendelin Feist, and on June 7, 1941, they were married in St. Michael Church, Pontiac, Mich. They moved to a farm one mile west of Selfridge in 1943 and raised livestock and small grains. They built the farm from scratch, and she was very proud of the home they built. She worked with her husband on the farm and was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church until they moved to Bismarck in 1996. She and Wendelin enjoyed traveling in their later years. As a pastime, she enjoyed cooking, baking, fall meat cutting and many crafts. She is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Loretta and August Friedt, New Leipzig, and Mary and Dean Simon, Columbus, Mont.; five sons and five daughters-in-law, George and Linda, Florence, Mont., Jack and Sadie and Clayton and Jane, all of Mandan, Leonard and Patricia, Sundance, Wyo., and Robert and Cindy, Bismarck; six brothers, John, Bismarck, Albert, Mesa, Ariz., Art, Mandan, Lawrence, Bozeman, Sam, Yuma, Ariz., and Herman, Sioux Falls, S.D.; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five sisters and three brothers.
