She is survived by her husband; five children; four grandchildren; four brothers — Henry Thraen, Earling, Andrew Thraen, Kirkman , Alfred Thraen, Columbus, Neb. and Ralph Thraen, Murray Hill , N.J.; and by six sisters — Mrs. Josephine (Frank) Schleimer, Harlan , Mrs. Magdalene (Owen) Talley, Chandler, Okla., Mrs. Clara (Everett) Inman, Marne, Mrs. Irene (Gaylord) Ryterski, Racine, Wisc. and Mrs. Evelyn (Ray) Kenkel of Council Bluffs. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mrs. Eleanor (Anthony) Schleimer. Requiem High Mass was held for Mrs. Heese at St. Peter's church in Defiance June 28. She died suddenly of a heart attack at Myrtue hospital in Harlan June 25. The Rev Gerald Deere was celebrant and burial was in St Peter's cemetery in Defiance. Pallbearers were David Heese, Mark Thraen, Rodney Tank, Ray Schleimer, Marvin Thraen and Gary Gallagher.
