Description	:	Amelia Rub, 95, New Leipzig, died peacefully July 14, 2004, at an Elgin care center. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Monday, July 19, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, New Leipzig, with the Rev. Larry Ouhl officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Amelia was born April 27, 1909, to Daniel and Susanne (Nuske) Weller on a farm north of New Leipzig. Amelia was born April 27, 1909, to Daniel and Susanne (Nuske) Weller on a farm north of New Leipzig. As a young girl, she worked in the fields on the farm and later worked as a maid for several families in New Leipzig. She married Gottlieb Sprecher in February 1926. They farmed for many years, with Amelia always supplementing their income with jobs of painting, raising chickens and finally working at Jacobson Memorial Hospital as a nurses aide. This was a job she loved. It was during this time that she attained her eighth grade certificate. Amelia's best qualities were her faith in God, sense of humor, confidence, self reliance, generosity and compassion. Amelia is survived by her three daughters, Irene Earhart, Benson, Ariz., Ethel (Walter) Davenport, New Leipzig, and Diann (Pat) Anders, El Dorado Hills, Calif.; one daughter-in-law, Lynn Sprecher, Benson; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Gottlieb Sprecher; second husband, Adolph Rub Sr.; one son, Arnold; one grandson, Kevin; her parents; and all her siblings, Christ Weller, Julia Bader, Helen Schatz, Albert Weller, Art Weller, Dan Weller and Ella Dubs.
