Description	:	"Anne" Ammie (Mamie) L. Pudvah, 93, of Glover passed away in Glover on Jan. 7, 2009. She was born in Thetford Mines, Quebec, a daughter of Alfred and Noella (Morency) Perron. She married Edward Pudvah in 1935 who predeceased her March 24, 2000. Mamie spent most of her life in Glover where she was a member of the Glover Community Church and the Glover Women's Union. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years, also knitting, sewing, making quilts, and was an excellent cook all to the delight of her family and friends. She was born in Thetford Mines, Quebec, a daughter of Alfred and Noella (Morency) Perron. She married Edward Pudvah in 1935 who predeceased her March 24, 2000. Mamie spent most of her life in Glover where she was a member of the Glover Community Church and the Glover Women's Union. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years, also knitting, sewing, making quilts, and was an excellent cook all to the delight of her family and friends. Her true passion was her beautiful flower gardens. She was a loving person to all her family and she always enjoyed gatherings and their visits. During her many years she worked at several different stores, the hot lunch program at the Glover Graded School and she always made herself available to help her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Beverly Young of Glover, Phyllis Day and her husband Edward of Lyndonville, Laurice Pudvah and his wife Dorothy of Connecticut., Pauline Locke and her husband Marcel of Albany, Paulette Rogers and her husband Michael of Glover, Loretta Maynard and her husband James of Florida., and Richard Pudvah and his wife Louise of California; her sister Adrienne Kells of Connecticut; 26 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edward, daughter Janice and her husband Philip Brown, by her son-in-law Ray Young and by the following brothers: Rene,Roger, Donald, Norman and by a sister Blanche. There will be no calling hours at this time. A memorial service will be held in May at the Glover Community Church with interment to follow at the Westlook Cemetery. This will be announced prior to the service. Should friends desire contributions in her memory may be made to the Glover Community Church Steeple Fund, c/o Roland Woodard, Glover Community Church, P.O.Box 198,Glover,Vermont 05839. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Homes, locally family owned and operated.
