Description	:	HELENA - Amos Jack Egge, of Helena, passed away on the evening of March 9, 2010. He had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer six weeks ago, and underwent surgery for the tumor on Thursday, March 9, but did not survive. Jack was born in Plentywood on Nov. 11, 1927. He was the youngest son of three born to Lena and Rev. Anton Egge. His early years were lived in Wisconsin and Montana, and he finished grade school in Auburndale, Wis. Read More	HELENA - Amos Jack Egge, of Helena, passed away on the evening of March 9, 2010. He had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer six weeks ago, and underwent surgery for the tumor on Thursday, March 9, but did not survive. Jack was born in Plentywood on Nov. 11, 1927. He was the youngest son of three born to Lena and Rev. Anton Egge. His early years were lived in Wisconsin and Montana, and he finished grade school in Auburndale, Wis. The family moved back to Montana and he graduated from Roundup High School in 1945. After a short time in the Army in 1946 and the University of Montana in Missoula, he went to Lewistown to work for Nate's Sport Shop. There, he met Alice Folda of Moore and they were married in June 1953. Then Jack went to work with the State Employment Service, where he worked over 30 years. After retirement, he took up golfing seriously and also continued his other interests, fishing, hunting and softball. Alice and Jack raised a family of three children who survive him. Alice passed away in June of 2000. Also surviving is a brother, a retired optometrist in Roundup. Complete obituary published in Billings Gazette March 20, 2010
