Mitchell Index, Thursday, May 26, 1921, Page 2 AMY ELIZABETH RUSSELL The spirit of Amy Elizabeth Russell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Russell, passed to the realms of the great beyond Friday. November 13, after an illness of several weeks with rheumatism by which the heart was affected. To be under the more immediate ease of a physician, Amy had been brought by her parents from their farm home to the home of an uncle, H. E. Russell, in Mitchell, and where with everything possible done to her relief, the young life passed away. Amy was born July 19, 1914, and at her death she was aged 11 yrs. 3 mon. 9 das. At the early age of 8 years she united with the Congregational church in Mitchell. Besides father and mother, her departure is mourned by five brothers and two sisters, several aunts and uncles and many cousins in addition to a large number at friends of the family. Rev. Walter C. Rundin preached the funeral sermon Sunday afternoon, and in the services he was assisted by Rev. A, J. May. The music for the occasion was specially appropriate and beautiful. Six members of the Mitchell Boy Scouts served as pall bearers, and the lady members of the Rebekah lodge attended in a body. The large attendance at the church and the many flowers gave mute evidence of the feeling of sympathy and regard for the family, the father and mother having both been among the earliest of the residents of this valley.
