Ellet, which occurred at 8 o'clock monday night, February 2, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Pattison, in Colorado Springs. News was received in El Dorado this morning of the death of Mrs. William H. Ellet, which occurred at 8 o'clock monday night, February 2, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Pattison, in Colorado Springs. Mrs. Ellet had been in feeble health for the past two years and for about that length of time had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Pattison in Colorado. Her daughters, Mrs. Pattison and Mrs. James C. Robison of Towanda, both of whom were with her when she died, are ill. On that account they will be unable to bring the body to El Dorado for funeral and interment for two or three days. William Ellet Jr., the son, left Towanda last night for Colorado Springs. Funeral service will probably be held in El Dorado and interment made beside the body of Mr. Ellet. Many El Dorado friends will learn of Mrs. Ellet's death with sincere regret. She was one of the builders of El Dorado social and church activities, and one of the pioneer women of South Butler, where the Ellets resided on a farm until they moved to El Dorado. In the Presbyterian church she was an active member. Mr. Ellet was postmaster of El Dorado for several years. he was a son of the late General Alfred W. Ellet. (transcribed by Judy Mayfield)
