Description	:	Anders was born on October 9, 1869, in Sor Aurdal, Oppland, Norway. He was the 5th of 8 children born to Hans and Marit Kompolien Fjeld. In 1882, the three oldest siblings made their way to North Dakota, to join an aunt (Kari Kompelien Evenson). Anders made the voyage on June 16, 1888 to New York, then onto North Dakota. His parents and rest of family followed in 1889 and 1892. Anders died as a young man. He appeared in a family portrait in Mayville, North Dakota around 1891.
