Description	:	Anderson Nichols, 81, a native of Rappahannock County, Va. died at 11:45 a. m. Monday, January 18th, 1960 in Staunton Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon of this week. A son of the late Sylvester Nichols and Susan McFarland Nichols, he was born in Rappahannock County on June 20, 1878. In 1900 he was united in marriage with Miss Naomi Skelton, who preceded him in death on July 7, 1939. Mr. Nichols is survived by one son, T. Haywood Nichols of Luray; two daughters, Mrs. Iva M. Buracker of Colorado and Mrs. Angeline Wellner of Washington, D. C.; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his family. The Rev. O. L. Martin officiated at the funeral services, Wednesday afternoon, January 20th at two o'clock in the chapel at the Bradley Funeral Home. Interment was in Beahm's Chapel Cemetery. Northern Virginia Power Company employees, who attended the services in a body were: Bob Shenk, Lester Ponn, W. E. Ponn, Bill Rowe, John Vlkojan, Mike Painter, Carson Jenkins, H. H. Estep, T. D. Ponn, O. L. Painter, Jesse Hoak, Clyde Rowe, James Emerson and Joe McDaniel. Active pallbearers were Robert Shenk, William Rowe, John Heiston, Drexel Ponn, Johnny Yowell and Landon Spitler. Honorary pallbearers were Marshall Griffith, G. William Sedwick, Robert D. Huffman, W. E. Frank, Leo Dovel, C. N. Spitler Jr., Cletus Heiston, Robert Baker, Joseph D. Judd, Carl Bailey, James ‘Buck' Burner, Junior Griffith and Basil Rowe.
