He married Mary Leona Fletcher (1878-1901) on Sept 22, 1895 in South Camden, Hillsdale, Michigan. The 5 children of this marriage were: Elda b. 1896 Elderada b. 1897 d. 1897 Larada b. 1897 d. 1897 (twins that died) Allen b. 1898 Marian b. 1900 Sadly Mary died in 1901. Shortly after this family with the younger children moved to a farm in Arkansas and then on to Cass, Missouri where they farmed the remaining years of their lives. Elda was brought up by her grandmother Elvira Downey Fletcher Oberst. Note: Andrew was a farmer & widowed at the time of his passing, his wife was Mary Emma (Thompson) Smith. His parents weren't listed on his MO death cert #29276.
