Description	:	Funeral services for Andy Andersen age 78 of Norfolk, NE formerly of Pilger, NE will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pilger, NE. Interment will be in the Pilger Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Andy passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at his home in Norfolk, NE. Andrew Clifford Andersen was born on October 28, 1939 at Norfolk, NE to Clifford and Leona (Armbrust) Andersen. He attended Stanton Co. Rural School District #16 and graduated from Pilger High School in 1957. He married Marlene Vollmer and to this union Marty, Denise, Peg, Beth, Clark and Rod were born. Andy had farmed, raised livestock, and worked construction as a heavy equipment operator, worked for a hay moving company which he later owned before going to work for Pilger Sand and Gravel. He also raised and trained german shorthair hunting dogs. On February 25, 1978, he was united in marriage to Donna (Evans) Peterson at Pilger, NE. Andy had served on the Pilger Volunteer Fire Department, had served as Chairman of the Village of Pilger Board, and was involved with Stanton Co. Civil Defense. He was a member of the Beemer Saddle Club and the Bucketmouths CB Club, where his CB handle was Spacewalker. He had a love for being outdoors, hunting and fishing.
