Description	:	Andrew David Roberts, Sr., 86, of Georgetown, SC, widower of Edrie Tisdale Roberts, died Monday morning, June 18, 2010 at his residence. Born January 9, 1926, Mr. Roberts was the son of the late James Walter Roberts and Victoria Altman Roberts. A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Roberts served in both the European and Pacific theaters in World War II. After the war, he worked at International Paper Company. Born January 9, 1926, Mr. Roberts was the son of the late James Walter Roberts and Victoria Altman Roberts. Surviving are: a son, Andrew David Roberts, Jr. (Beth) of Georgetown and two daughters, Terri Driggers Myers (Robert) of Weaverville NC and Kay Driggers Ackerman (Johnny) of Andrews; five grandchildren, Walt Roberts of Columbia, Elizabeth Roberts of Georgetown, Kathy Ackerman McCutchen (Mark) of Andrews, Kristy Ackerman Stoneburner (Braden) of Columbia, and Jay Ackerman (Laura) of Columbia; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Roberts was predeceased by a brother, Willard Roberts, and a sister, Eunice Roberts Martin. Funeral service with Military Honors will be 2 PM, Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Prince George, Winyah Episcopal Church with the Rev. Fr. Paul C. Fuener officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery on Pennyroyal Road, Georgetown, directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Olive Cemetery Fund, 204 East Bay Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.
