He was 57 years old. Mr. Gillet was born at Stockton, MO., coming to Kansas with his parents when he was a child. The family later moved to Montana where he grew to manhood. As a young man he returned to Kansas and entered the contracting business in Chanute. About 20 years ago he came to Iola where he continued in construction work, later opening Andy's Drive-In Cafe. For the past two years he has been with the maintenance department of the Iola schools. He also was well known as a musician for square dances. He is survived by his widow; two brothers, Nathan of Gildfort, Mont., and Arthur of Kalispell, Mont., and a sister, Mrs. May Allison, Chanute. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Waugh Funeral Home. GILLET RITES SATURDAY Funeral services for Andrew Gillet, who died Monday at the Veterans Hospital in Kansas City, will be conducted by the Rev. Ralph Culler at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Waugh Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery.
