Description	:	He served with the Army in WWI. He told stories about the time he spent in France and Germany, he was in the Black Forrest. They still make the famous wood carved clocks. He was an expert gun man and traveled all over the United States, shooting in Trap Shoots. He won many times and was rewarded with money, certificates, or turkeys and hams. I still remember standing in the crowd and hearing a man holler, 'pull' and the clay pigeons would shoot suddenly into the sky. He seldom missed!! He also had outstanding hunting dogs that he raised and trained. He was employed as a mechanic in St. Joseph, Missouri. Later, he was employed as a mechanic with Bud Lear's Motors, in Hiawatha, Kansas. He was a great mechanic and welder. In the 1950's, he owned his own garage, in Albion, Nebraska, named 'Andy's Garage'. He helped build the living space above the garage. It had a living room, two bedrooms, bath and large kitchen. There was a screened porch off the living room. The back roof area was used as a place for a clothes line, plants and gathering place for company! He had stomach ulcer's and had only part of his stomach left after surgery. In those days they had them eat ice cream and drink milk with crackers. This was also the time before air conditioning. He, Grandmother and I, would go for a ride in the car with all the windows down, just to feel the air blowing and to cool off! He was a wonderful carpenter and could build anything. He built a beautiful brick place in one of their homes in Frankfort, South Dakota. He remodeled Chuck and Shirley Lefforge's home in Mansfield, South Dakota. He was dearly loved by his step children and his many grandchildren. He had been married to Grace Troxel, they had two children, Dorothy Joan 'Jody' and Gordon Lee 'Buddy' Graham. Grace and Andy were divorced. He married Hazel Gertrude Kirk Lefforge on 15th Oct. 1942 in Lewiston, Idaho. They moved around the United States as Andy would want to try someplace new or different. His funeral was held on Valentine's Day at the Methodist Church in Frankfort, South Dakota. A military gun salute was given at the cemetery.
