Description	:	Funeral services for Andrew Hagen, 82, a homesteader in the TL area were held Sept 14 in the United Parish Church of TL with Rev J Edwin Coates officiating. Mrs. Wayne Solberg sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "How Great Thou Art." Mrs. Dean Asheim was the organist. Interment was made in the TL cemetery. Casketbearers were Lloyd Sandquist,Harold Jackson, Alf Malloy, Paul Goins, Bill Nash and Wayne Schlosser. Graveside military rites were conducted by Gene Gelino post. Kesling FH in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hagen passed sway Sept 11 at the Veterans Adm Hospital in Hot Springs.... At the age of 15, he came to the US with an uncle and settled at Sisseton. In 1912 he came to TL and settled on a homestead NW of town. He served with the army during WW I. He married Clara Reum at TL in 1919. They made their home on his homestead and he also worked for the Runkel Coal Co in Firesteel. Mrs. Hagen passed away in 1923. Some years later he married Grace Byrd. They lived on the farm until 1955 when they retired and moved into TL. In 1965 Mr Hagen moved to the Old Soldiers' Home in Hot Springs where he spent his remaining years. He is survived by two sons: Art of TL; Charles of Arleta, CA; sister: Julia Stensrud of Sisseton; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by both wives, and infant daughter, 1 brother, 2 sisters.
