Description	:	Andrew J. "Andy" Emter, age 86 of Glen Ullin died Saturday, November 5, 2005 at a Bismarck Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM CENTRAL TIME on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin with the Reverend Sebastian Schmidt OSB, officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Cemetery rural Glen Ullin. Visitation will be Tuesday after 4:00 PM at Sacred Heart Church in Glen Ullin with Vigil services beginning at 7:00 PM CENTRAL TIME. Andy was born December 2, 1918 on the farm in rural Glen Ullin the son of Joseph and Frances (Senn) Emter, Jr. He was raised on the farm and educated at the Olin #3 School. He married Josephine Bonogofsky on November 10, 1943 at the St. Joe Church in rural Glen Ullin. Following marriage they farmed until 1960 when Andy went to work in construction building interstate bridges. When the construction of the interstate was done he worked at Braun Oil and at the last for Opp Well Drilling and retiried in the late 1990's. Andy enjoyed his cabin at Lake Tschida, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. He especially loved playing cards. Andy was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joe Men's Society, Glen Ullin Lions and a past park board member. Andy died Saturday at Medcenter One in Bismarck. He is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Josephine, Glen Ullin; two daughters: Jane Emter, and her special friend Harvey Koster, Mandan, ND; and Sandy (Don) Peterson, Bismarck; four sons: Larry and his special friend Julie, Elgin, ND; Gary (Jackie), Hazen, ND; Ron (Donna), Bismarck, ND; and Jeff (Ann), Monument, CO. and 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: George, Jack, Leo, Adam, and Joe and four sisters: Christina Doll, Celestine Fitterer, Verna Horning, and Pauline Fibiger.
