Description	:	The funeral of A. J. Van Arsdol who died at his home on Fourth street, Roanoke, Saturday after a siege of typhoid-pneumonia of four weeks' duration, was held from the M. E. church this afternoon, Rev. Fettro, the pastor, delivering the sermon. Roanoke Tent, No. 124, K. O. T. M., had charge of the funeral. Music was furnished by the Roanoke band of which deceased was formerly a member. Mr. Van Arsdol was very popular among the young people of Roanoke who deeply feel their loss. The deceased was twenty-four years old at the time of his death and was formerly strong and healthy and, as has been said by friends, would have been the last person in the vicinity they would have thought to die. Many friends from Fort Wayne with whom Mr. Van Arsdol was associated in the band business attended the funeral. He was associated with his father in the blacksmith business.
