HAMILTON RITES WILL BE HELD TODAY IRVINGTON, April 8, 1936 Funeral services for Andrew Jackson Hamilton, 73, who died suddenly Tuesday evening, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his home with interment in the family burying ground. The Rev. Reuben E. Alley, D.D., pastor of Irvington Baptist Church, will conduct the services, assisted by the Rev. Wallace R. Evans of the Methodist Church and the Rev. George T. Schools. HAMILTON RITES WILL BE HELD TODAY IRVINGTON, April 8, 1936 Funeral services for Andrew Jackson Hamilton, 73, who died suddenly Tuesday evening, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his home with interment in the family burying ground. The Rev. Reuben E. Alley, D.D., pastor of Irvington Baptist Church, will conduct the services, assisted by the Rev. Wallace R. Evans of the Methodist Church and the Rev. George T. Schools. Mr. Hamilton had been a resident of Irvington his entire life. He was a deacon in the Irvington Baptist Church. He was also a charter member of Irvington Lodge, No. 205, I. O. O. F., and until the time of his death was one of its most active workers. His entire life has been spent in following the water and at one time he was captain of the Virginia police patrol boat, The Commodore Maury. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Lucy Wilder; one daughter, Mrs. Frederick Messick and two grandchildren, Betty and Bobby Messick, all of Irvington and one brother, L. A. Hamilton of Philadelphia. Five nephews also survive. His parents were John O. and Mrs. Sarah Hamilton.
