Stiner will be held at the family home, one half mile south of Winfield on Broadway Saturday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. R.A. Sawyer will conduct the services, and interment will be made in Graham cemetery. Mr. Stiner died yesterday morning at nine o'clock from a complication of diseases arising from old age. He was seventy-six years old. He is survived by six children: Geo. Steiner, of Wyoming; Mrs. Lizzie Morang, Tulsa, Okla; Will Stiner, Tryon, Oklahoma; Ben Stiner and Harry Stiner, Winfield; Charlie Stiner, Dexter. Andrew J. Stiner was born in New Jersey, September f, 1834. died at his home in Winfield. Kansas, March 16, 1911. At an early age he was left an orphan and during his youth experienced many severe hardships. His younger days were spent In Ohio, where, at the ago of twenty three, he was married to Miss Phoebe Trumbull. During the five years of her life, three children were born to them, two of whom, Mrs. Lizzie Morang, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and George Steiner of Wyoming are still living. To his second union with Miss Susan Squire, of Paris, Illinois, six children were born, three of whom, Will Stiner of Tyrone, Oklahoma, Chas. Steiner, of Dexter and Ben Steiner of Winfield, Kansas, survived their parents. The year following the death of his wife Mr. Steiner and Mrs. Ollie Stanfield, mother of Mrs. Geo. Hulvey of this city, were united in marriage, two sons blessed this union, one of whom Harry Stiner of Winfield is still living. For over thirty years Mr. and Mrs. Steiner lived happily together, spending the last ten years in Oklahoma and Kansas, and for the past two years residing in their pleasant home one half mile south of Winfield, on Broadway. One brother, Chris Steiner of Geuda Springs, father of Mrs. John Collier of this city, is still living, aged eighty-seven years. Mr. Steiner was a kindly conscientious man and made many warm friends during his life. He was a sufferer from leakage of the heart, for over two years, and for many days before his death expressed a desire to go and give testimony that "he was ready." The funeral services were conducted at the home and amid the large circle of relatives of friends and had gathered to offer their last tribute. Rev. R. A. Savage spoke words of comfort and Instruction from text 1st Cor. 15-29. The songs "It is well with my soul", "Shall We Meet", "Rock of Ages", "Jesus Lover of My Soul", were rendered by a choir of voices selected for the friends who had been constant visitors at his bedside. When at four o'clock, in Graham cemetery, while even the wind was silent among the trees and the rays fell softly upon the beautiful flowers with which his "over" had been strewn, we stood with uncovered heads and saw his body lowered into the last resting place, this thought came to comfort us; "He is not dead, just gone before."
