Description	:	The death of Andrew Jackson Franks of Denham, formerly a well known farmer of Jefferson township, occurred last Thursday evening at the family home after only two weeks' illness following a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Franks was eighty years of age last February 15. He was born in Noble township, Jay County, Indiana, which continued to be his home until he was forty yeas of age, when he moved to a farm in Jefferson township. Read More	The death of Andrew Jackson Franks of Denham, formerly a well known farmer of Jefferson township, occurred last Thursday evening at the family home after only two weeks' illness following a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Franks was eighty years of age last February 15. He was born in Noble township, Jay County, Indiana, which continued to be his home until he was forty yeas of age, when he moved to a farm in Jefferson township. For almost thirty years he was actively engaged in farming in that township, retiring about twelve years ago when he purchased a home in Denham. He was an old soldier, having served in the Civil War. He was married on February 12, 1847 to Miss Mahala Waltz, who survives, with six sons and three daughters--John, Charles, Perry and Mitchell Franks of Warren, Minn., Levi at home, Harvey, west of Winamac, Mrs. Otto Podell of Denham and Mrs. Sam Heims of Franklin township. A son and two daughters died in infancy. He also leaves one brother and a sister, Harvey Franks Sr. and Mrs. Joe Weaver of Portland, besides twenty-six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Pleasant Ridge church, conducted by Rev. John F. Norman. Burial was given in the adjacent cemetery.
