Martin occurred Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1920, at the home of his daughters, Mrs. Frank Hennessey and Mrs. Dale Marble, after suffering three weeks from a stroke of apoplexy. Mr. Martin came to Leavenworth from Missouri 24 years ago, February 12. He has lived on his ranch near Cashmere for the past 16 years and was there when the stroke came. Mr. Martin enjoyed a host of good friends in Leavenworth and Cashmere, and will be greatly missed. He was loved by all who knew him. His cheerful disposition was known by all. He was here three weeks ago on a visit to his daughter, Mrs. Hennessey, and apparently in good health. His illness came as a terrible shock to his family. Mr. Martin was born in Missouri and was 66 years old. Funeral services were held in the Masonic hall Thursday afternoon, Feb., 12 at 2 o'clock, and burial was made in Leavenworth cemetery. He leaves to mourn his loss, two daughters, Mrs. Dale Marble of Seattle and Mrs. Frank Hennessey of Leavenworth.
