Description	:	According to Searsport Sea Captains (1960), Andrew was a ship captain who sailed from Searsport (Waldo County) Maine (p. 188). According to that source, he sailed the following vessels: the schooner Patriot (1835); the schooner Vandalia (1837); the schooner Cassius (1839); the brig Cocheco (1841); the brig Montague (1850); and the ship Premier I (1853). Captain Ross retired from the sea and engaged in shipbuilding in Belfast, Maine.
