Description	:	Funeral services for Andrew Jensen long time resident of the Newell community were held Sunday August 10, 1958 at the Nain Lutheran church. The Rev. Charles Terrrell was in charge of the service. Mrs. Donald Grau furnished the music accompanied by Gladys Pedersen. Attendants were Julian Nitzke, Axel Hemmingson, Ernest Larsen, Marvel Olsen, Al Hanke and Walter Johnson. Mrs. Albert Jensen, Agnes Harris and Mrs. Svend Paulsen were in charge of flowers. Andrew Jensen was born in Aalborg, Denmark on Mary 16, 1885 and died on August 7, 1958 at the age of 73 years, four months, and 22 days. He came to the United States in 1910, working at various occupations throughout the eastern states, finally coming to Iowa. He worked around Clear Lake and Albert City, making his home with the Griffel family near Albert City. Andrew returned to Denmark in November, 1916 where he served in the Danish Army. On January 23, 1918 he was united in marriage to Sophie Rasmussen who preceded him in death on June 24, 1958. They came to the United States in 1918 and settled near Newell, farming in the vicinity for 30 years. In 1949 they retired from active farming an moved to Newell where they had since resided. He is survived by three children; Elmer of Newell; Helen (Mrs. Oscar Harris of Newell), and Hazel (Mrs. Harry Malnack of Seattle, Wash.), eight grandchildren and several brothers and sisters still living in Denmark. Andrew was born Anders Kjaer Ager but changed his name to Jensen when he came to the United States.
