Description	:	Andrew was born in Denmark to John and Anna Bok Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church and attended Lutheran School. At age 19 he came from Denmark and homesteaded South of Goehner (L Precinct, Seward County), where he resided continuously until his death. On June 26, 1886 Andrew married Henrietta Jensen, daughter of Severin and Sophia Jensen; all 3 of which came to America in 1863 from Denmark. Read More	Andrew was born in Denmark to John and Anna Bok Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church and attended Lutheran School. At age 19 he came from Denmark and homesteaded South of Goehner (L Precinct, Seward County), where he resided continuously until his death. On June 26, 1886 Andrew married Henrietta Jensen, daughter of Severin and Sophia Jensen; all 3 of which came to America in 1863 from Denmark. Andrew and Henrietta had one daughter, Agnes (Mrs. Guy Cooper), and two sons, Walter and John. Andrew was a born leader and not afraid to lead. He was President of the Seward County Shorthorn Breeder's Association, member of the board of directors of the Seward County Farmers' Association, President of the Seward County Fair Association, member of the Seward County Council of Defense, served on the county committee for the 4th of July celebrations & picnics, and was President of School District 78. He played his violin that he brought from Denmark, made by his father, for many years in the band for dances at the Goehner Opera House. On July 4, 1918 Andrew was killed by falling from the door of the haymow of the cattle barn. The apparatus for elevating and carrying the hay into the haymow became loosened, throwing him out of the barn and falling on him as he struck the ground. He was hurrying to put up his hay so that he could attened the 4th of July picnic. The funeral was held at his home. It was estimated that over 1000 people attended his funeral service.
