Description	:	Andrew Miller McMahon was born 11 November 1828 in Knox County, Ohio to Thomas and Lydia (Schaffer) McMahon. His parents were married in 1822 and Andrew was the 3rd of 7 children born to this couple. His father died 18 Sep 1838 and is thought to be buried in the Lauberbaugh Cemetery, Knox County, Ohio. His parents were married in 1822 and Andrew was the 3rd of 7 children born to this couple. His father died 18 Sep 1838 and is thought to be buried in the Lauberbaugh Cemetery, Knox County, Ohio. His mother Lydia was later married to Robert Clements and had more children. Andrew married Francis W. Spindler on 16 June 1853 in Knox County, Ohio. Andrew and Francis had 7 children together who are listed in the obituary on her memorial. According to her obituary, Francis and Andrew left Ohio in Sep 1854, travelled to Missouri where they lived until 1862, then moved north to Albion, Iowa. They first rented a farm and later bought a farm outside of Liscomb. His wife’s obituary states Andrew died there in March 1905, and Francis was buried beside him in Albion Cemetery when she died in 1913. When their son Hiram died in 1915, his obituary also states that his father Andrew died in Mar 1905. I have not found any actual death record. I requested the gravestone photo, which is one stone with both the names of Andrew and Francis on it. There is no date or year of birth noted for Andrew on the stone. It states his date of death as Mar 7 1895 at the age of 67 Ys 3 Ms 25 Ds. This date matches closer, though not exactly with his known birth date. It is confusing to have the statements for death in 1905 in family obituaries, but since the exact dates may be lost to time, will use the date on his gravestone. Rest In Peace.
