| Description | : | Highland Recorder January 7, 1949 TWO HIGHLAND PERSONS ASPHYXIATED IN STAUNTON On Sunday afternoon January 2, at 5:45 o’clock, Mrs. Corrine Simmons and Mr. Andrew P. Anderson were found to have been asphyxiated at 203 North Central Avenue, Staunton, due to fumes from a gas stove, causing carbon monoxide poisoning. When found by Mr. Anderson’s cousin, Mr. Tommy Price Sheets in his apartment they had apparently been dead about twelve hours. Mr. Anderson is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Charles. A.
