Person was the builder and owner of Person court. He also had a hand, as a member of the firm of Millstedt and Person, in building the city auditorium, the Masonic temple and the City National bank building. He built the southern portion of the Bismarck hospital. Later, when he and his brother-in-law, N. A. Freeburg, combined as the Bismarck Construction company, he also assisted in building the Wachter and Richholt school buildings. Four years ago he became ill and his health steadily declined. Two weeks ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis. He seemed to his family and friends to be rallying from the stroke when he took a sudden turn for the worse and died Sunday afternoon. Funeral arrangements are awaiting word from sisters of Mrs. Person at Seattle. Unless the rites are delayed for relatives from a distance, the plan is to have the services and interment Wednesday. Mr. Person would have been 63 years of age November 19. He was born in Skane, Sweden, in 1867. When 18 years of age he came to America and settled at St. Paul. He learned bricklaying and became an expert in that craft, this leading him into the contracting business after he came to Bismarck 27 years ago. In 1909 he married Edla Rask here. He leaves her and three children, Vera, Carl and Waldemar. There are also two sisters and a brother living in Stockholm, Sweden, and a sister and three nieces in St. Paul. **The Bismarck Tribune, Monday, October 27, 1930, Page 1.
