Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Andrew Stangeland was born on Saturday; August 13, 1921 at home near Dunbar; Marshall County, Iowa. He was the son of: Ole and Ingene (Olson) Stangeland. Andrew graduated from the Dunbar High School in 1938. Andy farmed all of his life in the Stavanger community and served on the board of the Dunbar Elevator- then becoming part of the Marshall Farm Service. He also served on the church trustee board and for nearly 60 years on the Stavanger Cemetery Board. Until her passing in 1961, he was devoted to the care and welfare of his mother, Ingene. Andy loved to travel and went on many bus trips. He enjoyed trips to Norway to visit his heritage and was able to visit nearly every National Park in the United States and many in Canada as well as travels to Alaska. Andrew Stangeland, age: 90, passed away on Saturday; November 12, 2011 at the Bickford Cottage in Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa. Those left to mourn his passing are: His sister-in-law: Beverly Stangeland of Cincinnati; Hamilton County, Ohio, his nieces and nephews: Lloyd (Charlotte) Stangeland of Oskaloosa; Mahaska County, Iowa, Karen Rasmussen of Marshalltown, Iowa, Sharon (Gene) Hoover of Marshalltown, Iowa, Kay (Doug) McDonald of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kevin Stangeland of Portales; Roosevelt County, New Mexico and Tom (Trish) Stangeland of Salisbury; Rowan County, North Carolina, as well as many great-nieces and nephews. In death, Andy rejoined his parents, his brothers: Tilman and Clarence (and wife Helen), nephew Jimmy Stangeland and niece Nancy Stangeland. May they rest in peace. May God bless his memory and give strength to those that mourn.
