| Description | : | Andrew is the son of James 1810-1842 and Elisebeth Clouse Bankson 1811-1881. He is the stepson of Willis Thompson 1797-1876. Andrew was married twice. First to Ann 1842-1861, and later to Orpha 1846-. Andrew served in Civil War. On 6 Feb 1864 at the age of 27, he enlisted in Company H, 5th Iowa Cavalry Regiment. On 8 Aug 1864 Andrew was wounded. He transfered to Company H,5th Veteran Cavalry Consolidated On 15 May 1865 he mustered out at Davenport,IA. Andrew lived in the Dubuque County area. |
