Mr. Polite proudly served with the U.S. Army and was a purple heart recipient during WW II in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a member of he VFW Post 7447 in Rehoboth Beach. He enjoyed a long career delivering bread in the retail and wholesale food delivery industry. he later served as chief dispatcher or the Cape Henlopen Maritime Exchange.
