Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Josaphats Catholic Church in Loup City. The Rev. Marty Egging will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Mrs. Tyma was born on March 25, 1916, near Ashton, the daughter of John and Mary (Glazik) Jeratowski. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Tyma. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette and Jerome Siwinski of Ashton, Dorothy and Gary Smedra of Loup City and Paula and Allan Eurek of Lincoln. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three sisters-in-law, Edith Jeratowski and Doris Jensen, both of Grand Island and Lillian Jeratowski of Columbus. Angie grew up near Ashton and attended St. Francis Parochial School in Ashton. She then worked in Omaha for a brief time. She was united in marriage to John J. Tyma on Oct. 11, 1938, in Ashton. John and Angie raised their family on farms in Howard and Sherman counties. They moved to Loup City in 1963. Angie worked for several years as a cook and baker at Sacred Heart Hospital in Loup City and later as a housekeeper and cook for Fathers Placzek, Foster and Cook, when they were priests at St. Josaphats Parish. John died on Jan. 1, 1998 and Angie had resided at Rose Lane Home in Loup City since 2006. She was a longtime member of St. Josaphats Catholic Church where she was a member of the Council of Catholic Women, Polish Choir and Rosary Sodality. She was also a member of the Wiggle Creek Club and was a lifetime member of the Polish Heritage Center in Ashton. Angie was known for her cooking and baking. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling with John after their retirement. In addition to husband, John she was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Jeratowski; three brothers, Steve, Matt and Leo Jeratowski; and one sister, Regina Skibinski
