Description	:	Mrs. Jos. Beine passed away at the home of her son Theo. Beine, near Houghton, Friday, December 15, 1916, at 9:45 p.m., aged 76 years, 2 months and 13 days of old age and complications. Angela Marie Bruegenmeier was born October 2, 1840, in Anreppen, Delbruck, Germany. She was united in marriage in her native land to Jos. Beine in 1868. Read More	Mrs. Jos. Beine passed away at the home of her son Theo. Beine, near Houghton, Friday, December 15, 1916, at 9:45 p.m., aged 76 years, 2 months and 13 days of old age and complications. Angela Marie Bruegenmeier was born October 2, 1840, in Anreppen, Delbruck, Germany. She was united in marriage in her native land to Jos. Beine in 1868. The family came to America and settled in Lee county April 2, 1886. For two years the family lived at Fort Madison after which they moved to a farm in West Point township, living south of town for thirteen years. Six years they lived on a farm just north of town and the following ten years they farmed in Minnesota. Last fall their son Theo. and family moved back to Lee county accompanied by the parents. Mrs. Beine was the mother of seven children, four of whom have preceded her to the grave. She is survived by her aged husband, two sons, Jos. Beine of Burlington and Theo. Beine of Houghton, and one daughter, Mrs. Harry Behrens of Fort Madison. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and one sister living in Germany. Deceased was a lifelong member of the Catholic church and was a devout christian. She was a faithful and loving wife and mother and many friends will remember her many kind acts for them. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her. Funeral services were held at St. John's church at Houghton Tuesday morning at 10:00 o'clock, Rev. Father Adam officiated. Besides the relatives present there were many former friends at the services. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery at Houghton. Jos. Beine and son Jos. of Burlington, Mr. and Mrs. H. Behrens of Fort Madison, and Miss Elizabeth Broeckling of Lakefield, Minn., John Umthum and son Al, E. J. Link, B. Umthum, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pollmiller, Miss Anna Walljasper, B. H. Schulte, Mrs. E. Fullenkamp and Jos. Pannenberg, all of West Point, Mrs. Ritter, Mrs. Geisen, Mrs. Decker, Mrs. Helling, Mrs. Gerling and daughter Elizabeth and Conrad Sommers, all of Fort Madison, attended the funeral.
