(Source: Macon County, Illinois Marriage License) ============================================================== The El Dorado Times (El Dorado, KS), Monday, March 7, 1933 Mrs. Ann Allen Baker, aged resident of Butler County, died yesterday afternoon at the home of a son, Ira J. Baker, of Reece, following an illness of nine weeks. She was 93 years old. Mrs. Baker had resided with her son for the past two months and prior to that time had lived in Butler and Pratt Counties for approximately 20 years. She was born at Louisville, Ky., June 24, 1844, and was married to Perry Baker at Decatur, Ill., on July 4, 1863. He died, however, on June 3, 1922. Mrs. Baker went to Decatur from Kentucky and also had resided in Nebraska and in Russell County, Kansas. She went to Oklahoma in 1893 and had resided in Butler and Pratt Counties since 1919. The Reece woman was a member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Baker is survived by six sons, Charles A., of Argonia; William A., of Fairview, Okla.; Ira J., of Reece; Arthur G., of Beaver Creek, Ore.; Elmer, of Hennesey, Okla., and Ed E. Baker, of Rosalia; two brothers, Charles Allen, of Cico Springs, Okla., and John Allen, of Axtell; 35 grand children; 51 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at the Rosalia Methodist Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. E.W. Freeman, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church at Wichita, officiating. Interment will be made in Blankinship Cemetery. The Byrd Funeral Home is in charge.
