Burial was in Purdom cemetery at Keosauqua. Pallbearers were Orville Burkett, Arthur Hogue, Otto Burchett, Ancel Parker, Arthur Poling and Alva Hoskins. - - - - - **Handwritten: 1947 Anna Arnold Bishop, daughter of W.H. and Emma Arnold, was born Feb. 4, 1890, near Keosauqua, Iowa, Van Buren County, and passed away at the Sacred Heart hospital in Ft. Madison, Ia., Dec. 13, 1947 at the age of 57 years, 10 months, and 9 days. On August 20, 1911, she united in marriage to William M. Bishop. To this union were born four children: three sons, Gordon of Kirkwood, Ill., and Harold and Ivan of Keosauqua; and one daughter, Mrs. Harold Breckenridge of Keosauqua. She was converted at the age of 14 years, uniting with the Christian church and later transferred her membership to the Keosauqua Methodist church. Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her passing: two brothers, Lee Arnold of Keosauqua and Vern Arnold of Monmouth, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Wells of Stockport and Mrs. Edith Stonebraker of Boulder, Colo.; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, one brother and four sisters. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Source: Van Buren Co.
