She was born April 5, 1922 in Fork Union, daughter of the late Ruth Snead and Nathaniel Cogbill Alexander. She was a member of Fork Union Baptist Church for more than fifty years and the granddaughter of Julia Seay Snead, an original guarantor, early trustee and donor of the original 17 acres of land on which Fork Union Military Academy was built. Omohundro Jr. of Fork Union; three daughters, Courtney Omohundro of Fork Union, Sue Omohundro and Sally Omohundro, both of Richmond; three grandchildren, J.R. Omohundro, Jennifer and Matthew Whitescarver, all of Richmond; and two sisters, Julia A. Wallace of Richmond and Ruth A. Greene of Charlottesville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services and interment will be private. The Rev. William Bess will officiate. Contributions may be made to the Fork Union Baptist Church Building Fund, Fork Union, Va. 23055.
