Description	:	Ann Campbell was born on 30 January 1816 to Ambrose Campbell and Jenny/Genne/Jane Witt. Ambrose Campbell and Jenny Witt married 27 December 1810 in Estill County, Kentucky. Jenny was Ambrose's second wife; Rhoda Chittum was Ambrose's third wife. No death information is available for Jenny except she probably died about 1816-17. Ambrose married Rhoda on 19 July 1817 in Virginia and brought her back to Kentucky. Ann moved with her father, Rhoda and siblings to Ohio about 1823-26. Read More	Ann Campbell was born on 30 January 1816 to Ambrose Campbell and Jenny/Genne/Jane Witt. Ambrose Campbell and Jenny Witt married 27 December 1810 in Estill County, Kentucky. Jenny was Ambrose's second wife; Rhoda Chittum was Ambrose's third wife. No death information is available for Jenny except she probably died about 1816-17. Ambrose married Rhoda on 19 July 1817 in Virginia and brought her back to Kentucky. Ann moved with her father, Rhoda and siblings to Ohio about 1823-26. Rhoda died in 1826 and Ambrose two years later, leaving Ann and her 7 siblings orphans. A Mrs. Strader took in the children to raise (see FAG #61954803 for Strader). Ann had a daughter, Amanda Williams, b. 21 Aug 1836 in Ohio. Ann married a widower, Ingham Hogeland, in Franklin Co, Ohio on 20 Dec 1849. They moved to Iowa ca.1852 and had four children who survived to adulthood: Joseph Allen (1850-1916), Manerva Jane (1852-1944), Marella Ann (1858-1944), and Elmirah (Ella, 1861-1941). Those who did not survive were: Casper (1853-54), twins (b. & d. 23 Jan 1855), and Ambrose Porter Hogeland (1856-59). Ingham served in the Civil War as part of Company H, 37th Iowa Infantry. He died 6 Nov 1886 and is buried in Blakeway Cemetery, Des Moines Co, Iowa. Land records show that Ann moved to Gove Co, Kansas and purchased land there in 1891. By 1896 she was living in Arkansas (Rudy, Crawford Co.) and had sold some of the Kansas property to her son-in-law, Patrick Weaver. Ann died 27 Aug 1899 in Franklin Co, Arkansas, near Alix where her daughter Marella Ann and husband Patrick Weaver lived. Marella Ann wrote her siblings about their mother's death, writing that they buried Ann in her black cashmere in the scab cemetery. Note: Ann's name was never Marella. This is misinformation that appeared on the 1880 U.S. Census. No other documents list Ann Campbell's name as Marella. One of Ann's daughters was named Marella Ann but, like most in the family, she went by her middle name and documents indicate her married name as Ann/Anna/Annie Weaver.
