Rusk. The out-of-town relatives and friends who were here for the services were Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Shanstrom of Watertown, SD; Mr and Mrs. George Billick, Sr; Mr. and Mrs. George Billick, Jr., and family, Mr. and Mrs. Sam McInich, Mr. and Mrs. M.A. McInich, Mrs. Lulu Ahrens and Mr. Clyde Graham, all of Brooklyn, Iowa and Mrs. Viola Smith of Carnsforth, Iowa. The deceased was born Ann Eliza Billick, daughter of Charles and Polly Billlick, in Pennsylvania on May 13, 1838 and passed away on May 11th, 1932, two days previous to her 94th birthday. And a peculiar co-incidence in connection with her death and burial was the fact that she died on her husband's birthday and was buried on her own birth anniversary. On October 17, 1857 she was united in marriage to Oliver H. Woodruff at Rockford, Illinois, and they went to housekeeping on a farm north of Pecantonico, Illinois. Sixty-six years ago they came to Poweshiek county, Iowa , where they farmed for about ten years near Brooklyn. Mr Woodruff preceded her in death eight years ago. A son, Jefferson died on October 23, 1914. The surviving family and relatives are: a son T.A. (Thomas) and daughter, Mrs. Ida Quigley, both of this city and one daugher, Mrs. Alic Shanstrom, and her brothers George Billick of Brooklyn, Iowa and a brother David Billick of San Jacinto, California.
