Dusenbery [sic], aged 76 years, 8 months and 2 days. The deceased, Ann E. Overacker, was born in Otsego county, New York, and at the age of 22 years, was married to Cornelius Dusenbery. In 1846 she moved with her husband to Ogle county, Illinois, where they lived until the year 1869 when they removed to Nebraska settling in Pawnee county. Dusenbery [sic], aged 76 years, 8 months and 2 days. The deceased, Ann E. Overacker, was born in Otsego county, New York, and at the age of 22 years, was married to Cornelius Dusenbery. In 1846 she moved with her husband to Ogle county, Illinois, where they lived until the year 1869 when they removed to Nebraska settling in Pawnee county. Two years ago she buried her husband, and soon after moved with her youngest son to Sherman county, Kansas, where she died as above stated. Mother Dusenbery experienced religion when 16 years old and has since lived a consistent christian life as a member of the Baptist church. Her pioneer life has been one of constant toil, but she was never known to complain. She raised a family of seven children, six of whom survive her. Nearly all of them have passed the prime of life, yet the mother love always shown to her children leads them to say of her "Happy Mother" gone to receive your reward for life spent for thy unworthy children. None knew you but to love you and none loved you like the children whose hearts are made desolate by thy absence. Patient Mother, kind Mother, the cords of thy great love still draw thy children to thee. Funeral exercises were held at Goodland, conducted by Rev. Willis of the Methodist church after which the remains were taken to Burchard, Nebraska and laid by the side of her husband.
