Description	:	Muscatine Journal October 2, 1909 The lifeless body of Mrs. Ann Eliza McMichael was found lying in bed at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Roy Wilhelme, at 1505 Mulberry avenue early this morning. The cause of her death is believed to have been heart failure, as she had been suffering from cardiac trouble for some time. Read More	Muscatine Journal October 2, 1909 The lifeless body of Mrs. Ann Eliza McMichael was found lying in bed at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Roy Wilhelme, at 1505 Mulberry avenue early this morning. The cause of her death is believed to have been heart failure, as she had been suffering from cardiac trouble for some time. The body was discovered by Mrs. Wilhelme at about 6:30 o'clock and it was at first thought that the aged woman was in an unconscious condition. Dr. A. J. Weaver was summoned and announced that life was extinct, dissolution having taken place a few hours before. The discovery of the body and realization that death had visited the home was a severe shock to the family, because of the suddenness with which death fell. The deceased woman was very well known in the vicinity, being one of the pioneer residents of the county. She came here in 1854 and resided in Seventy-Six township until a year ago, when she moved to this city and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Wilhelme. Miss Ann Eliza Snyder was born in Ohio on January 19, 1842, and came to this country while still a girl with her parents. On February 22, 1860, she was united in marriage to Joseph McMichael who preceded her in death two years ago. She was a member of St. John's U. B. church in Seventy-Six township. She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Kate Townsley, of Iowa City; Mrs. Eva Townsley of Cedar Township; Mrs. Carrie Longstreth, of Pike Township; and Mrs. Roy Wilhelme of this city.
