Funeral services will be held at the Morfoot Funeral home on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock on January 25, the 63rd anniversary of her marriage to Frank B. Funeral services will be held at the Morfoot Funeral home on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock on January 25, the 63rd anniversary of her marriage to Frank B. Lough, who died in the same home on January 11, 1932. Death was due to complications incident to her advanced years. She had been failing rapidly for the past few weeks and for over a week had been under the care of a trained nurse. Mrs. Lough whose maiden name was Ann Elizabeth Hull, was born in Hampshire county, Virginia, February 16, 1859. She was but a babe when the family moved to Illinois and when she was 15 they came on the Iowa, settling in Grundy county and there the father, William Hull, died when Mrs. Lough was a child, the mother, Ann Catherine Hull becoming later the wife of John Crossley. Ann Elizabeth Hull was married in Grundy county to Frank B. Lough January 25, 1877 and with her husband came to Story county as a bride the following spring. They located first on a farm south of Nevada, but later moved to Richland township where they lived until September 23, 1901, when Mr. Lough retired from the farm and with his family moved into Nevada where he purchased the Lough barn and engaged in the livery business. The home was established in a cottage just south of the barn and there the subject of this sketch has since lived. Mrs. Lough is the last of her family to pass away. The mother of seven children she is survived by two sons and two daughters. They are Verda, wife of A. K. McBride of Ames, Harry E., Bert C. and Mrs. Laura Pincombe of Nevada. One son, Samuel Lough died November 27, 1932, a baby boy died in infancy and a daughter Ruth died at the age of 6 years. Mrs. Lough was a life long member of the Methodist church. While she was a woman whose interests were devoted almost wholly to her home and her family, yet she found time during her more active years to make her home one which was recognized for its general hospitality. She exemplified in her long life the Christian virtues which were the result of an abiding religious faith. For several years her home has been in charge of her daughter, Mrs. Laura Pincombe, who has given her devoted care. In addition to the two sons and two daughters Mrs. Lough is survived by 12 living grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
