Description	:	Ann Fletcher Colvin, 77, a longtime San Francisco resident passed away on Sunday Jan. 21, 2018 at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, Ca. She was born on Jan. 13, 1941 to Gordon Fletcher and Frances Perry Fletcher and raised in Ephrata, Wa. Following graduation from Washington State where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, she worked for the fraternity’s national council, traveling around the US, visiting various University campuses. She was born on Jan. 13, 1941 to Gordon Fletcher and Frances Perry Fletcher and raised in Ephrata, Wa. Following graduation from Washington State where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, she worked for the fraternity’s national council, traveling around the US, visiting various University campuses. She attended Stanford University for graduate school and upon graduation worked for Wells Fargo in Human Resources. While working in San Francisco she met her future husband Chester Colvin. Ann and Chet were married on June 8, 1968 in Ephrata, Wa and took up residence in San Francisco, Ca. In 1974 Ann and Chet welcomed their first child, a boy, William Fletcher; six years later, a daughter Katherine Frances joined the family. After raising her children, Ann started work as a wardrobe consultant for Doncaster. She was very involved in the community as a volunteer and leader in many organizations including PEO, the San Francisco Garden Club and the Symphony league. Ann was most proud of her involvement with the Garden Club and the Alice Eastwood scholarship committee, an award given to outstanding horticulture students at City College of San Francisco. Ann was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, music, the theater and traveling. Some of her more memorable adventures included trips to China, Africa, and Russia. Ann is survived by her son, Bill Colvin, a daughter Kate Colvin Weiss, son-in-law Matthew Weiss, grand-daughter Fiona Weiss and many treasured friends.
