Kerkman, 79 April 12, 1935 ~ June 22, 2014 Ann G. Kerkman, 79, of David City, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City. Ann was born on April 12, 1935 to Anthony and Clara (Schindler) Kerkman in Elgin, NE. She graduated from Shelby High School in 1952, then attended College of St. Mary's in Omaha. Ann lived in Virginia for part of her life, and worked in Washington D.C. She also lived in Denver, where she helped develop Larimer Square. Ann was a Property Manager during her time in Denver, Lincoln, and Omaha. After she retired, she moved to David City. Ann enjoyed cheering her nieces and nephews at sporting events, playing Bridge, and traveling with her sister. She is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law: Tom (Grace) Kerkman Sr. of Omaha, Dale (Vickie) Kerkman of David City, Ken (Judy) Kerkman of Lincoln; 15 nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, and 3 sisters: Judy and Janice Kerkman, and one infant Kerkman. Viewing will be 5-7 pm June 24, with Parish Rosary from 7-7:30 pm, at Chermok Funeral Home, 515 C Street, David City, Nebraska. Funeral Mass will be June 25, 10 - 11 am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 210 S. Walnut, Shelby, NE. Burial will be in Shelby Catholic Cemetery, Shelby, NE.
