Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Ovid and Myrtle McCarty; her brother Ovid R. (Sonny) McCarty and her beloved sons Mike and John Anthony. Ann is survived by her daughter, Virginia Headley of Lively; her sister Virginia Berry of Corrottoman and her daughter-in-law Margaret Anthony of Farnham. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rebecca Alba (Luis) of Mattaponi; Stephanie Ketner (Donnie) of White Stone; Tony Anthony (Dara) of Farnham; Ricky Anthony (Stephanie) of Yorktown and Les Headley IV (Kim) of Cape May, NJ.; six great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends. Ann was a devoted member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Kilmarnock, Va. A private graveside service will be held with a celebration of Ann's life planned for a safer time in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 154 E Church St, Kilmarnock, VA 22482 or the Animal Welfare League, P. O. Box 975, White Stone, VA 22578. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lavinia married George Miskrell Anthony on May 17, 1956 in Lively, Lancaster County, Va. They divorced in June 1968.
