Description	:	Ann (Boeding) Huffman was born Nov. 22, 1917, the third child of Martin and Frances (Knobbe) Lueke in Burnstead, N.D. After the sudden death of her mother and infant sister Elizabeth in 1919, she came to live with her godparents, uncle and aunt Henry and Anna (Lueke) Best and their children, Rose, Barbara, Teresa and Frank. She attended St. Lukes School and Church in St. Lucas. She married Joseph Boeding Aug. 17, 1937 at St. Lukes Church. To this union, seven children were born. After the sudden death of her mother and infant sister Elizabeth in 1919, she came to live with her godparents, uncle and aunt Henry and Anna (Lueke) Best and their children, Rose, Barbara, Teresa and Frank. She attended St. Lukes School and Church in St. Lucas. She married Joseph Boeding Aug. 17, 1937 at St. Lukes Church. To this union, seven children were born. Ann and Joseph Boeding farmed with his father Herman and brother Arnold and wife Hermina for nine years before moving to a farm 1-1/2 miles south of St Lucas. Joseph Boeding died June 19, 1975 of cancer. Ann Boeding spent the next seven years on the farm enjoying her family, babysitting for area children and gardening. She married LeRoy Huffman Sept. 30, 1982 and moved to New Hampton. LeRoy Huffman died of cancer March 9, 1992. Ann (Boeding) Huffman was preceded in death by her parents; her godparents; her husbands; her daughter, Arlene Wenthold; a son, Eugene Boeding; a grandson, Kenny Wenthold; a son-in-law, Dan Kerian; a brother, Rev. Clem Knobbe; a sister, Mary Eischeid; an infant sister, Elizabeth; her cousins with whom she was raised: Rose Lusson, Barb Lechtenberg and Frank Best and many sisters and brothers-in-law.
