Description	:	Mrs. Ann M. Akin, 57, 510 E. Dudley, East Helena, known throughout the west for her photographs and drawings, died Saturday at St. Peter's Hospital. An avid outdoors woman, she competed for many years in state archery competition, holding the title of Montana Women's Champion Archer. She was born in Helena, Feb. 28, 1915, the daughter of Adolph and Marie Jarrendt. She was educated in country schools and was graduated from Helena High School in 1933. She married Dean R. Dudley, East Helena, known throughout the west for her photographs and drawings, died Saturday at St. Peter's Hospital. An avid outdoors woman, she competed for many years in state archery competition, holding the title of Montana Women's Champion Archer. She was born in Helena, Feb. 28, 1915, the daughter of Adolph and Marie Jarrendt. She was educated in country schools and was graduated from Helena High School in 1933. She married Dean R. Akin in Boulder in 1955. For 17 years she was employed by the federal government at the Veteran's Hospital at Fort Harrison, the Internal Revenue Service and the Small Business Administration before retiring in 1970 due to ill health. She was a long time member of Rebekkah Lodge. Survivors include the widower, Dean (Bill) Akin, East Helena; her mother, Mrs. Marie Jarrendt, Helena; and one cousin, Curt Biastoch, Butte. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Retz Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be R. E. Otten, Gordon Buckland, Roy Bryson, Frank Griffin, Roger Griffin and Ed Lamb.
