Description	:	Died -- At the home of her son-in-law, W. W. Jones, who lives three miles northwest of town, on Saturday, August 18, Mrs. Ann Walker in the seventieth year of her age. Miss Ann Thickston was born in Indiana, September 9, 1818. She was married to John Walker in June 1838, and their home has been in Kansas since 1868. She was the mother of twelve children, ten of whom with their father still live to mourn their loss. Jones, who lives three miles northwest of town, on Saturday, August 18, Mrs. Ann Walker in the seventieth year of her age. Miss Ann Thickston was born in Indiana, September 9, 1818. She was married to John Walker in June 1838, and their home has been in Kansas since 1868. She was the mother of twelve children, ten of whom with their father still live to mourn their loss. The deceased was converted and united with the Methodist Church when but a child and lived a Christian life until the all-wise God saw fit to remove her. The funeral services were held at the home of Mr. Jones on Sabbath afternoon and were conducted by Rev. C. Linge. The body was laid to rest in the Downs Cemetery. Published in the Downs Times on August 21, 1888.
