Description	:	Anne Muilenburg, 91, of Orange City died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at the Orange City Hospital. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 18 at 10:00 a.m. at the Free Grace Reformed Church in Middleburg. The Rev. Stephen Breen officiated. Burial followed at the Capel Township Cemetery near Middleburg. Arrangements were made by the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City. Anne was born Dec. 25, 1910, at rural Orange City, the daughter of Ben E. and Anna (Dykstra) Van Der Zwaag. On Jan. 21, 1932, she married Henry W. Muilenburg at rural Orange City. They farmed north of Orange City all their married life. Henry died July 28, 1986, at Orange City. In the spring of 1987, Anne moved into Orange City. She first lived in the Pioneer Court and in 1996, she became a resident of the Pioneer Memorial Home. In February of 1998, she transferred to the Heritage House Nursing Home. Mrs. Muilenburg was a lifetime member of the Free Grace Reformed Church where she was an organist and pianist for many years. She also belonged to the Women's Guild. Anne lost her hearing at the age of 62, but she continued to live a full life and communicated well with her visitors. She called her daughter daily on her TTY machine and enjoyed closed caption television. Survivors include a son and his wife, Bill and Shirley Muilenburg of Orange City; two daughters and their husbands, Ann and John Den Hartog of Hospers and Marlene and the Rev. Gary De Geest of Chariton; a daughter-in-law, Judy Muilenburg of Seattle, Wash,; 12 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Henry Muilenburg; a daughter-in-law, Norma Muilenburg; a grandson; a greatgranddaughter; three brothers, Frank, Jurry and Elmer Van Der Zwaag; and two sisters, Ellen Keizer and Susan Van Der Zwaag. Memorials are being directed to the church. Sioux County Capital Democrat 2002-05-23.
